As 2025 comes to a close, the Nomad Futurist Foundation reflects on a year defined by growth, learning, and meaningful action. Through our Nomad’s Mission in Motion series, we’ve highlighted the extraordinary work of our Advisors, Ambassadors, Advocates, and Co-Founders who have advanced our mission: demystifying digital infrastructure, inspiring the next generation, and creating pathways for students and early-career talent worldwide.

This year, our community has shown that impact is best achieved when education, access, and opportunity intersect. From classroom workshops to global conferences, our members have worked tirelessly to make digital infrastructure visible, tangible, and accessible to all:

“At some point, watching becomes a choice. This industry doesn’t need more spectators; it needs participants” Nabeel Mahmood, Co-Founder of the Foundation emphasizes.

Ambassador Dan Ephraim echoes this, noting “[The Foundation] is just a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of other people in honor of the effort people made for me to be where I am today.”

Advisor Simon Allen adds: “Too many students — and even mid-career professionals — don’t realize this industry exists, let alone that it offers stable, purpose-driven, and impactful careers.”

And as Ambassador James Rix reflects: “One conversation can create a ripple effect. This is what impact in motion looks like.”

From Asia to Africa, Europe, and North America, our Foundation members have transformed these words into action:

Amy West guided youth and early-career talent toward opportunities in digital infrastructure and represented the Foundation at industry events nationwide.

Greg Crumpton engaged learners of all ages — from middle school students to veterans — inspiring curiosity and purpose-driven career paths.

Dan Ephraim provided mentorship and access to top executives for University of Virginia students, helping mentees land their first roles in the industry.

Allison Boen delivered immersive technology tours and mentorship, impacting over 75 students and making hands-on learning tangible.

Rhys Morgan expanded the Foundation’s reach across Asia, growing communities, enabling academic programs, and strengthening the Women in Data Centers network.

Daisy Saulls connected students at George Mason University and high schools to career pathways and workforce development opportunities.

Simon Allen delivered career awareness sessions at Imperial College London, mentoring MSc students and connecting them with industry employers.

Rob Coyle created the first-ever curated student and educator track at the OCP Global Summit, providing direct access to the latest innovations.

Umaima Haider bridged academia and industry, sparking curiosity and creating tangible opportunities for students and women exploring careers in digital infrastructure.

James Rix championed education and access in Asia, turning his apprenticeship experience into mentorship, guidance, and industry engagement.

Snehar Shah advanced practical digital infrastructure education in Africa, partnering with Moringa School to equip students with hands-on experience.

And our Co-Founders, Nabeel Mahmood and Phillip Koblence, led by example, turning a passion project into a global movement that emphasizes action, community, and impact. Their reflections on 2025 achievements and challenges are shared in the latest Nomad Futurist Podcast.

We are deeply grateful to each of these leaders — and to all Foundation members — whose energy, expertise, and dedication have shaped this year and opened doors for countless students and early-career professionals. Your work is building a more informed, accessible, and inclusive digital infrastructure ecosystem.

If you are inspired by these stories and want to help shape the next generation of leaders, we invite you to join us. Become part of this powerful community of leaders and request to join the Foundation.
