Yotta 2025 brought together the brightest minds in digital infrastructure, and the Nomad Futurist Foundation was proud to play a leading role in driving dialogue and collaboration. With powerful voices on stage and active engagement across the conference, we showcased the Foundation’s mission and the meaningful impact it continues to make in the industry.
The stages came alive with our speakers, Advisors Ilissa Miller, Santiago Suinaga, Mark Gusakov, and Mark Thiele, who sparked lively discussions and shared forward-looking perspectives on the future of digital infrastructure. The stellar lineup of speakers expanded to include Ambassadors Imran Latif, Tony Grayson, Scott Charter, each adding their unique lens to conversations that challenged the status quo and inspired attendees to think bigger.
Beyond the panels, Co-Founders Nabeel Mahmood and Phillip Koblence, together with Advisor Anahita Mouro and Ambassadors Megan Baker and Dan Ephraim, carried the Foundation’s mission into every interaction. Whether networking between sessions, exchanging ideas with peers, or engaging with rising voices in the community, they embodied the spirit of education, mentorship, and collaboration that defines the Nomad Futurist movement.
This year’s event was highlighted by meaningful collaborations that brought creativity, sustainability, and community to the forefront. In partnership with JSA, we proudly spotlighted the winner of the Greener Data Book Cover Contest Volume 3, a celebration not only of design and innovation but also of the opportunities our industry creates for students and emerging talent to get involved.
Later that night, the Nomads gathered at the DE-CIX Viva Las Vegas social, which we were proud to sponsor. The energy was palpable, with industry veterans and fresh voices coming together to connect, celebrate, and spark new partnerships that will carry forward well beyond the event.
The highlight of the evening came when our Co-Founder, Nabeel Mahmood, received the iMasons 2025 Education Award, a prestigious honor that underscored not only his steadfast commitment to expanding access to knowledge, but also the Foundation’s broader mission to inspire and empower the next generation of digital infrastructure leaders.
In addition, Nabeel was recognized as a finalist for both the People Champion and Innovation Champion awards. Several other Nomads also earned distinctions: Co-Founder Phil Koblence was named a finalist in the Education Champion and People Champion categories, while Advisor Ilissa Miller and Ambassador Buffy Harakidas were honored as finalists for the IM100, which celebrates 100 individuals driving measurable impact across the digital infrastructure industry. Building on this milestone, we look forward to deepening our partnership with Infrastructure Masons as we continue working together to drive education, innovation, and opportunity across the industry.
Yotta 2025 was a powerful reminder of the strength of community, the importance of collaboration, and the meaningful impact we can create together. The Nomad Futurist Foundation is proud to have been part of this milestone and looks forward to carrying forward the conversations, connections, and momentum it inspired.
